The prospects of the SAR with super wide-band (including short-pulse) signals development are examined. The information advantages of the UWB radars over traditional narrow-band systems are shown. The theoretical and experimental materials, and also the results of computer simulation, which characterize the synthesizing of aperture in UWB SAR, are represented. The special features of designing the UWB radars, the technical problems, which arise before the developers, and the possible methods of their solution are also examined.
