Resolution, which characterise ability to discern nearby targets, is one of the basic properties of on-board radar systems.
Among different types of resolution (range, velocity and angle), the most difficult one to provide is angular resolution. Enhancement of angular resolution is especially important for high-precision guidance systems.
A very promising way to improve angular resolution in single position on-board radar systems is to implement trajectory control of observation. The point of such control is transition from typical angular resolution based on aperture width to Doppler frequency resolution based on so-called Doppler peaking of the beam during flight on a specific trajectory.
In the article, one of the variants of designing trajectory control algorithms is studied, which provides resolution of targets in a dense group.
