Analysis of the effectiveness of multilayer cylindrical ultrasound emitte

The ultrasound emitter under study consists of piezoceramic cylinder covered by thin layer of a low-impedance viscoelastic material. Comparison of the radiation pattern of the emitter without a layer and radiation patterns of emitters with covering layer is carried out. It is shown that the presence of a covering layer can result to a significant narrowing of the acoustic radiation pattern generated by the emitter.
