Sensor-actuator elements, appropriate for integration in hybrid analytical devices for biomedical analysis – laboratories-on-a-chip are considered. In the first part of the article optical elements are described including spectrofluorimetric sensor with concave diffraction grid based for implementation of the Rowland circles principle, multichannel sensor for laser speckle-analysis using micro collimator formed on the basis of γ-anodic aluminum oxide, video sensor module for identification of biological particles in the channels of microfluidic system using image capture and recognition algorithms. The sensor systems based on radio frequency electromagnetic radiation are presented by impedimetric and capacitive sensors, designed for identification of species of microorganisms. Surface acoustic wave actuator is described, featuring an acoustoelectronic device, comprising piezoelectric substrate and interdigital convertors. The substrate was 350 μ thick lithium niobate wafer with YX 128° cut and with deposited 100 nm aluminium layer. The spample preparation modules implemented using micro- and nanoporous anodic alumina are described.
