Cognitive methods for the educational processes modeling

The educational system is a complex system with many processes and connections inside. It is necessary to control the particular processes and components for the education system optimization. Modeling is widely used to test the effectiveness of different management methods in the educational process. The article describes one of the approaches to the education processes and systems modeling cognitive analyze method. Cognitive analysis involves the construction of a cognitive map and testing it for the process or system modeling. The basic approaches to the cognitive maps construction and methods of its analysis is described in the article. Among the research objectives was reviewing Russian scientific articles devoted to the educational processes modeling using cognitive analyze and the identification of the most commonly ways to modeling the educational system processes or parts, which uses cognitive maps. The analysis showed that using integrated evaluation for modeling in education is one of the most popular among Russian scientists. The article gives a brief overview of the researches. On the basis of this work, it was concluded that cognitive maps are used the most commonly when it is necessary to create a model of the educational system or its part, and watch how the quality indicator, depending on the parameters, associated with it. For example, it is used for modeling the quality of discipline (course) learning depending on the factors that influence the learner (both internal, caused by his personal characteristics, as well as external, caused the educational and socio-economic environment in which the learner is). Also it is used for optimal training material structure modeling; this will allow controlling the learning trajectory. Another way for using cognitive maps is modeling the efficiency of the educational organization or department, depending on their responsibilities and position in the structure of a complex organization. Another aim of the work was the attempt to apply the method of cognitive analysis for simulation results of radio engineering students’ educational activity. It is known that radio engineering disciplines are closely related to physics and mathematics courses. In the article the basic relationship between the parts of physics and mathematics and such discipline as «Electrical engineering». According to this analysis the cognitive map of Mathematics, Physics and Electrical engineering was built. Using this cognitive map allows us to predict the required input level of knowledge for quality profile discipline learning in high school. To analyze the construction of cognitive maps a pulsed method of research was used. The cognitive approach to the modeling of the educational activity results allows you to structure a separate area of the educational system. This approach is useful for controlling the process of learning, tracking learning results at each stage of learning and correcting the training program for the desired result.
