The impact of Doppler shift and ionospheric distortion on processing broadband signals

This paper is devoted to the processing of a broadband radar signal, reflected from the space object problem. The optimal processing of broadband signal reflected from a moving object problem is set up. The dependence on the processing accuracy of dispersion distortions in the atmosphere is researched. It is concluded that the processing excluding the signal envelope distorting can lead to losses of up to 20% of energy. The impact of the Doppler shift on range measurement errors is calculated. The relationship between the radial velocity determination error and electron concentration spatial distribution in ionosphere is shown.
