A method for calculating the operating parameters of the high-voltage pulse modulator in the microsecond range taking into account the nonlinearity of the charging inductor

The article is devoted to the problem of accounting the non-linearity of charging inductor in the calculation of the operating parameters of high-voltage pulse modulators. We proposed a special method to calculate the operating parameters of the high-voltage modulator circuit with a non-linear inductive element. A key feature of the proposed method is a combination of numerical analysis and practical measurements of the inductance of the nonlinear choke to predict the correct qualitative evaluation of the modulator performance. As approbation of the method, we discussed an example of calculating the high-voltage modulator circuit with an inductive charge of forming line that is widely used in microwave devices.
