The article deals with the problem of obtaining radar images in bistatic radar with a synthetic aperture antenna (SAR) operating in the frequency P band. Configuration of the system involves moving the transmitter position in the process of shooting and receiving inpatient placement position. System timing is provided by direct organization channel signal propagation between transmitter and receiver. The paper presents practical algorithms of radar images with a high spatial resolution of up to 5 m, which are processed in real-ground experiment with bistatic SAR equipment developed for spacecraft «AIST-2D». The article presents the resulting ground radar images of the experiment area. It is noted that in the course of the experiment area was observed under ultra-low elevation angles, so the radar images are visible in the mostly high points of masts, transmission line poles, tall buildings, solitary tall trees, plantations, etc. According to the results of the experiment concluded that the range of on-board and ground equipment, software and algorithmic support BiRLK MCA «AIST-2D» provides radar images in accordance with the expected performance in terms of spatial resolution. It was noted that such a system can be used not only in the technology of remote sensing of the Earth, but also to the clock control area, geosemki areas, enabling the coastal and inland shipping, etc.
