The choice of energy efficient law for DISS FM signal modulation. Part 1

The article consists of two parts. In part 1 the basic laws of modulation of FM signals used in DISS to reduce the requirement on de-coupling of transmitting and receiving channels are examined: harmonic (GFM), symmetric linear (SLFM), asymmetric linear (ALFM) and impulse keyed (impulse frequency-shift keying (IFSK)). The analysis for energy efficiency of signals with GFM and SLFM laws is made, the assessment to the efficiency of suppression of leaked to the receiver radiated signal is given, conversion losses of a signal in a microwave mixer and the influence of the difference frequency of the converted signal on the power loss of received signal depending on the reflected signal delay are determined. The energy effective law for frequency modulation is determined as SLFM. The effective value of the modulation index and the number of the working harmonic of the useful signal are determined.
The second part is devoted to the assessment of energy efficiency of signals with ALFM and IFSK. The comparative analysis is made and the energy efficient law of modulation is chosen from the main laws applicable in DISS.
