The article discusses the use of an axiomatic approach to the evaluation of bent tempered automotive glass. Controlled quality parameter – deviation of the forming line of the glass from the cylindrical surface. It shows the consistency of the application of this method for the study of complex systems based on small samples of individual measurements.
A significant indicator of the quality of curved tempered glass is the deviation of the forming line of the product from the cylindrical surface. The use of traditional statistical methods in production to control product quality can lead to distorted results. The use of an axiomatic approach to assess the quality of the shape of the glass will increase the efficiency of control by reducing the time for ana-lyzing small samples of measurements. This is important when developing corrective actions in the management of production processes in real time.
Product quality control using an axiomatic approach is to determine the representativeness of the sample with respect to a homogeneous invisible population. The analysis includes verification of the implementation of three principles: the principle of order, the principle of similarity and the principle of conformity. The analysis of the quality of tempered glass showed the implementation of all three principles. Based on the data obtained, it can be argued that the distribution of the measurement results of the deflection of tempered glass from the control pattern is formed under the influence of one significant factor (quenching mode), i.e. the analyzed distribution is unimodal, and therefore homogeneous. The quality of the bent tempered glass produced by the magnitude of the deflection of the generator of the cylinder can be considered stable, satisfying the technical conditions. The axiomatic analysis of product quality control considers the process based on individual measurements, which guarantees reliable results.
